Our elections for the next 2022/2023 Executive took place at the General
meeting on May 10. The following Executive were acclaimed and installed
President Lee Horning, 1 st Vice President Rose Lamingman, 2 nd Vice President
Jamie Forysth, 3 rd Vice President Fern Miner, Treasurer Robert Hadley, Executive
members Mary Horning, Pauline O’Brien, Ryan Salter, and Bill Currie.
We have had new windows installed at the Legion upstairs and downstairs to
help with heating and air conditioning of the building. We would like to Thank the
Merrickville Lions Club for their generous donation towards this and several other
members that made donations also.
Our Branch with be hosting the Legion Zone Horseshoe competition on June 4 th
and the Provincial Competition on August 6 th . The public is welcome to come and
watch. Just a reminder to everyone that unless it is a Legion event everyone is
welcome to come to the Legion. We have Euchre on Monday nights, Horseshoes
on Wednesday nights, Seniors Lunch on 3rd Thursday of month.
